Integration

A core part of Heath Tecna's business is managing and certifying interior reconfigurations for airlines, where aircraft are upgraded with new components and systems that come from a variety of suppliers. This type of work is commonly referred to as Integration, and we have an entire team of people dedicated to it. It is a technical service that we offer, and as one its earliest proponents, we've been an integrator for nearly 15 years. In fact, we have more than 400 Supplemental Type Certificates awarded by the FAA, including amendments, to demonstrate our experience.

The Integration team is composed of program managers, buyers, engineers, and production staff who work together to deliver reconfiguration kits. We also have a system of support departments in place to assist them in their efforts. From certification, to laboratory testing, and technical publications, we offer the airlines everything they need to go from idea to STC without missing a beat. Airlines who choose Heath Tecna as the integrator benefit from:

  • A dedicated PM, who will be the single point of contact for the entire program
  • Our FAA Production Certificate, which allows multiple kit shipment prior to STC (enabling the airline to embody their fleets nose-to-tail without a PMA break)
  • Installation support in the form of drawings, customer formatted instructions, job cards, and an on-site liaison engineer to help with installation of the first kit type when necessary
  • Our in-house staff of FAA DERs and FAA DMIRs, which allows us to output 8110-3s and 8130-3s to be more responsive in our certification plans and inspections
  • Our certification capabilities and experience with customer preferred third party products such as seats, lavatories, galleys, and IFE equipment
  • Strong coordinative relationships with many foreign regulatory agencies including EASA (EU), UKCAA (UK), JCAB (Japan), CASA (Australia), KCASA (Korea), CAAC (China), CAD (Hong Kong), TC (Canada), and LBA (Germany)
Of course, as an interiors supplier ourselves, many of our customers elect to have us supply cabin furnishings and a new interior architecture for the airplanes going through reconfiguration.
